Vernon L. Pugh, 57, of rural Adams, MN died on Thursday (September 14, 2020) at his home.
Vernon Lee Pugh was born on February 4, 1963 in Wabasha, MN to Virgil and Betty (Adler) Pugh. He moved often with his family as a young boy and teenager when his father, who was serving in the Air Force, was transferred to different bases. He attended a number of different schools and earned his GED. Vernon was employed at Rochester Rent-all, Hayfield Doors and Windows and at Hormel Foods in Austin, MN for a number of years. For the past 10 years he was a handyman. In 2013, Vernon moved to rural Adams, where he enjoyed gardening and raising a variety of animals, including cows, chickens, fainting goats, and peacocks. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fishing in his free time.
Vernon is survived by his son and daughter - Jesse Skelly and Jodi Pugh of Stewartville; 10 grandchildren and his parents –Virgil and Betty Pugh of Stewartville; his sister – Cheryl Pavlak of Stewartville and step-daughter – Bobbi Duncan of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his infant son – Waylon and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Due to Coronavirus public health concerns, no services or visitation will be held. Vernon will be laid to rest with his son Waylon at Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, MN on Saturday (October 3, 2020) with graveside services at 11:00 AM.
