Shirley Mae (Loth) Pitzer, 85, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN.
Born on June 3, 1941, Shirley grew up in Stewartville and graduated from Chatfield High School in 1959. After retiring early from Minnegasco in Coon Rapids, MN, Shirley and her devoted companion of many years, Ray Morine, spent years traveling the country—creating memories and embracing the freedom of the open road—before eventually settling in Florida. There, she enjoyed the sunshine, fishing, bingo, and the company of dear friends. She appreciated a simple life and found happiness in the places and pastimes she loved most.
She is survived by her children: daughter Debby, son Kevin (Liz), and daughter Dawn (Kerry). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Matthew, Jestin, Jill, Jamen, Tyler, and Connor; nine great-grandchildren; her beloved sister, Bettie, and brother-in-law, Larry Miller; brother in-law , Richard Arndt; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Marcella Loth; her sister, Vivian Arndt; her son-in-law, Gary Fagre; her grandson, Nicholas Miller and dear friend, Ray Morine.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Shirley’s wonderful life from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville, MN, where arrangements are being handled. Burial and a committal service will take place at Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove, MN. Condolences and memories of Shirley may be shared at www.griffin-gray.com
