Randall D. Horan, 69, of Rochester,MN died unexpectedly due to an ongoing heart condition on Friday (July 31, 2026) at his home.
Randall Dean Horan was born February 12, 1957 in Rochester,MN to Lyle and Hazel(Feldt) Horan. He grew up in Rochester and attended John Marshall HS, graduating in 1975. He then attended Rochester Community College before going to the University of Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. Following his graduation he worked for a number of companies using his degree selling specialized equipment, at one point, even owning his own company, Base 8. He enjoyed cycling, cross country skiing, disc golf, and playing cards (500 and euchre).
Randall is survived by his sister – Valorie Gingrich of Sugar Land,TX and niece - Elin (Matt) Cartier; nephews - Ira Gingrich and Sean (Amorie) Gingrich; great nieces and nephews - Dylan, Holly, Lyle and Hazel Cartier. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A time of visitation for family and friends will take place from 2 to 4:00 PM on Sunday (August 9, 2026) at Griffin-Gray FH in Stewartville. Burial and a committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville. Arrangements are with Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville.
