Patricia L. (Light) Horsman, 71, of High Forest,MN died on Sunday (December 13, 2020) at her home, from complications of an illness with congestive heart failure.
Patricia Lynne Light was born on June 14, 1949 in Stewartville,MN to Hayden and Glennie(Marshall) Light. She grew up in Stewartville, attended school there, graduating from Stewartville H.S. in 1967. Patricia was married on October 30, 1970 in Stewartville to Ernest “Pete” Horsman. Following their marriage the couple lived in Leroy,MN for a few years. They were later divorced. Patty moved to High Forest where she raised her children and continued to make her home. She was employed as an LPN at the Minnesota State Hospital for a number of years until it’s closing, while attending Rochester Community College, part-time, earning her Registered Nursing degree. She was employed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester for many years, as a physical therapy and rehabilitation nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, until her retirement. She was a past member of the Stewartville United Methodist Church. She loved the outdoors and her many pets (cats and dogs!) and feeding the birds. She enjoyed puzzles ,word search, board games and loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Patty is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons – Erik Horsman of Stewartville; Erin Warbois of Elgin,MN and Hayden Horsman of High Forest; 4 grandchildren - Kaitlyn Horsman( Nick Palmquist) – Peighton Warbois, Dane Warbois and Clara Warbois; her mother - Glennie Light of Stewartville and her brother - Dennis Light of Plainview,MN and nephews – Jeremy Light, Josh Light, Matt Kernler and niece – Brianna Kerns of Deer River,ILL. She was preceded in death by her Dad – Hayden Light.
Due to public health concerns no visitation or services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Patty’s Life will take place this spring. The time and date will be announced at a future date.
