Leonard W. Feldt, 91, of Rochester, MN died on Tuesday (December 8, 2020) of natural causes at Meadow Lakes Senior Living, where he had been a resident since 2018.
Leonard was born on January 10, 1929 in rural Stewartville, MN to Clarence and Gladys (Sanderson) Feldt. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. In 1947 he enlisted into the US Air Force serving two years. He re-enlisted into the Air Force in 1954, serving three years as a jet aircraft mechanic (including duty overseas in Japan and Korea). Leonard was married in 1956 to Patricia Goodsell. They were later divorced. Leonard moved to Robbinsdale, MN where he was employed as a lathe operator at Time Savers Inc. until his retirement in 1990. Leonard married Verda Kriser in 1970 and they were later divorced. Following his retirement Leonard moved to Hobbs, NM and then returned to Stewartville in 2015. Leonard was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a past member of the Masons and Shriners International from 1969 to 2006. Leonard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked meeting new people, visiting with friends, and time spent with family.
Leonard is survived by his son, Steven, sister, Lucille Ryther, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Loren, his parents, sisters Hazel Horan and Lois Angelbeck, and brother, Lawrence Feldt.
