Jeremy L. Light

Jeremy  L.  Light, 53, a longtime Stewartville,MN resident, died on Saturday (January 29, 2022) of natural causes following a short illness, at his home.  

Jeremy Lee Light was born on July 24, 1968  in Hennepin County, MN.  He grew up the son of Dennis and  Carla Light in Stewartville, where he attended school graduating from Stewartville H.S. in 1986. He attended vocational/technical school in Jackson, MN where he studied electronics. Jeremy was married to Andrea Smith and they were later divorced. Jeremy  was employed for a number of years at Schmidt Printing in Rochester. He was a past member of the United Methodist Church in Stewartville.   He enjoyed  visiting local historical land marks, Oxbow Park, fishing, playing his guitar, and time spent with his family. 

Jeremy is survived  by his mother -  Carla Thompson of Stewartville and his father – Dennis Light(Lynn White) of Plainview, MN;  1 sister and 2 brothers  – Brianna Kerns of Eldora,IA;  Josh Light (Kathy Nicklay) of Stewartville and Matt Kernler of Rochester,MN and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Glennie and Hayden Light, Carl and Pearl Heymann, his Aunt – Patricia Horsman, Uncle – Tom Heymann and step-father – Raymond Thompson. 

A private family memorial service for Jeremy will be held at the United Methodist Church in Stewartville with Rev. Laura Nordstrom officiating.
