Suzanne M. Piedmont Obituary

The memorial service for Suzanne M. Piedmont of Stewartville, MN will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday( July 21, 2018) at Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville with Rev. Kim Kyllo officiating. Mrs. Piedmont died on Monday ( July 16, 2018) of heart failure at Mayo Clinic Rochester - St. Mary’s Campus.

Suzanne Mardell English was born on August 9, 1943 in Waukesha,WI to Hugh and Mardell (Hohensee) English. She moved with her family as a young girl to Winona,MN where she grew up and attended Winona High School. She graduated in 1961. Suzanne was married on September 12, 1963 in Winona to Ronald A. Piedmont. Following their marriage the couple lived in St. Louis,MO, before moving to Anaheim,CA. and then Santa Clara,CA where they raised their sons and lived there for many years. Suzanne was a homemaker and longtime employee at Rolm Corp. in Santa Clara as a telecommunications supervisor, at the time of her retirement. Ron was employed for many years as an engineering technician in the microchip manufacturing industry until his retirement. The Piedmonts moved to Stewartville in 2005, where they have continued to live. Suzanne was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville and was a member of the Stewartville Morning Lions. Suzanne enjoyed baking, crocheting and crafts and was a huge Twins and Vikings fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Ronald and 2 sons – William of Stewartville and Steven and Annie and grandchildren -Vivian and Victoria of Gilbert,AZ; Three brothers –Robert and Jean English of Taunton,MA; Ronald and Marie English of Altadena,CA and William and Cindy Eder of Wanamingo,MN; Sister-in-law– Suzi Piedmont of Santa Clara,CA and brother-in-law - Allen and Diane Piedmont of Cuppertino,CA; nieces – Leslie and Chris Ferguson; Kristin and Mike Stoning and their children – Bailey and Dylan ; Christine Piedmont and Marissa Piedmont. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister – June English.

A time of visitation will take place from 5 to 7:00 P.M on Friday( July 20, 2018) at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville and one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday morning.
