06/06/2012 - The memorial service for Marjorie A. Jensen, 68, of Rochester,Mn. will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday(June 11, 2012) at the United Methodist Church in Stewartville,Mn. with Rev. Wane Souhrada and Rev. Jef Olson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville. Marjorie died Tuesday (June 5, 2012) after a lengthy and courageous illness with cancer. She was a rehabilitation resident at Golden Living Center East in Rochester.

Marjorie Ann Marshall was born Nov. 13, 1943 in Stewartville,Mn. to Marion and Evelyn(Krull) Marshall. She grew up on the family farm in rural Stewartville, attended school and graduated from Stewartville H.S. in 1961. Following her graduation Marjorie was employed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She was married on Sept. 14, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Stewartville to Donald D. Jensen. They lived in Stewartville for a number of years and were later divoriced. Marjorie was employed in registration at Mayo Clinic for 43 years until her retirement in 2008. She moved to Rochester in 1984, where she had continued to make her home. She was a member of the Stewartville United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed being a member of 4-H during her school years. Marjorie enjoyed being outdoors, reading, puzzles and visits from her children and grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center East for her loving care.

Surviors include her daughter and three sons - David of Rochester/ Daniel and Jeff(Andria) both of Kasson,Mn. and daughter - Lori(Jamie) Knutson of rural West Concord,Mn./ 10 grandchildren - Shane and Tara/ Will, Jack, Thomas and Emma/ Carli, Zach, Sami and Cami; her sister- Judy Malone of Stewartville and neice and nephews - Lisa Malone, Bryan Malone and Brad(Stacey) Malone. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday(6-10) at Griffin-Gray F.H. in Stewartville and 1 hr. prior to the service at the church on Monday morning.
