Janice C. Bushman

The Mass of Christian Burial for Janice C. Bushman, 76, a lifelong resident of Stewartville, MN will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday (October 21, 2019) at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Stewartville with Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Bushman died on Wednesday (October 16, 2019) at her home of an apparent heart attack.   

Janice C. Kuehntopp was born August 20, 1943 in Stewartville to Harold and Maxine (Egan) Kuehntopp.  She grew up in Stewartville and attended Stewartville H.S. Janice was married on June 17, 1961 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Stewartville to Howard C. Bushman. Following their marriage the couple lived in Stewartville where they raised their family and lived all their married lives. Janice was a homemaker and waitressed at her parent’s restaurants – Tarsilla’s and Harold’s Café both in Stewartville. She also was a children’s daycare provider from her home for a number of years. Howard was employed at Doyle Connor Construction in Rochester. Mr. Bushman died on December 29, 2004.  Janice was a member of St. Bernard’s Church and the Stewartville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping and boating with her family on Cedar Lake,  Le Mieux Resort and campground near Faribault, MN as well as celebrating and decorating for the holidays and collected angels and bells. Janice loved time spent with her family and following her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting and school activities.

Janice is survived by her daughter and 3 sons -  Brett(Cindy), Craig(Denise) and Brian(LaRae) all of Stewartville and Collen(Daryle) Irlbeck of Stewartville; 13 grandchildren  and 11 great grandchildren – Jared(Amber) Bushman and Zoey and Jace, Brianna (Justin) Schmidt and Ella and Ava, Dani Bushman and Meah, Deidra “Dee” Bushman and Ryker, Miranda Bushman,  Mitchell Bushman,  Kristen(Tony) Weber and Leighton, Ryan(Krystal) Stender and Oaklyn and Kinslee, Kayla Irlbeck, Brooke(David) McAlpine and Paisley and Brooklyn; 1 brother- Greg(Linda) Kuehntopp of Minnesota City,  MN and 1 sister-in-law –Marian Kuehntopp of Spring Hill, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband - Howard, her parents, her sister – Marleen Kinny and brother – Gary Kuehntopp.

A time of visitation for family and friends will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday (October 20, 2019) at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and 1 hr. prior to the service on Monday morning.  Arrangements are with Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville.
